New Hampshire Kiteboarding

Beaches

With only 16 miles of coastline, the number of New Hampshire's kiteboarding spots is very limited. In general, being a kiteboarder in New Hampshire can be very rough. Beaches get crowded in the summer and temperatures below freezing in the winter months make kiteboarding very difficult. Nevertheless, the community is very small. If the wind is good and it's warm, there is plenty of space in the water. In addition, we can ride pretty much every wind direction in New Hampshire except for south winds. The main four kiteboarding locations in New Hampshire are marked on the following map:

Beaches
Hampton Harbor
Community
Hampton Beach
Resources
Seabrook Beach
Rules
Jenness Beach

Each beach has its advantages and disadvantages. Nonetheless, each beach provides different conditions. We can ride flatwater, chop, and waves. The Hampton Harbor, or "inlet", is the only beach where we can ride in west winds. This is the predominant wind direction here in New Hampshire. However, this is also the spot with the most dangers. Therefore, it is important that you only kiteboard there if you are an expert. Find out more about each beach by clicking on the pictures above.
